About Rabbi Dovid Sorscher, Esq., M.Ed.
Rabbi Dovid Sorscher, Esq., serves as the Head of School for the Yeshiva Academy of Bergen County, bringing a rare and powerful combination of authentic Torah scholarship, legal expertise, and advanced pedagogical training to elementary education. Ordained by Yeshiva Ayshel Avraham in 2016 and admitted to the Bar in 2018, he holds a Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he specialized in education law and student advocacy. Through years of advocating for diverse student populations, Rav Sorscher witnessed firsthand the unmet needs of many children, inspiring him to pursue advanced clinical training to effect deeper systemic change from within the school environment.

Driven by the foundational principle of חנוך לנער על פי דרכו—educating each child according to his path, Rav Sorscher earned his master’s degree in education and special education from the University of Mount Saint Vincent. This clinical background enables him to champion early intervention strategies and inclusive classroom models, ensuring that every young תלמיד at the Yeshiva receives the tailored support needed to succeed in both Judaic and secular studies.

Under his leadership, the Yeshiva serves as a nurturing, safe, and warm environment where young children build a lifelong love for learning, strong מדות, and יראת שמים. Ultimately, Rav Sorscher’s unique professional background ensures a secure, structurally sound, and legally compliant ecosystem where high academic standards thrive alongside deep halachic integrity.
